Location
As one of the fastest growing cities in Europe, Prague hosts a fantastic array of both classic and modern culture.
The TEFL International school in Prague is surrounded by an astounding variety of architecture dating back to the tenth century. Walking across the historic Old Town Square or along the winding cobblestone streets, one can take in artistic styles ranging from Baroque to Art Nouveau in immediate proximity to one another.
The magnificent Church of Our Lady before Tyn and Old Town Hall are classic examples of various phases of these periods as are the many sculptures, towers and monuments.
Theater and the arts are prominent and readily accessible as well. Prague boasts literally dozens of theaters, opera houses and museums, including The Czech Museum of Fine Arts in Old Town. Operas, plays and art exhibits are constantly changing and offer those who truly appreciate the arts as well as those just becoming interested multiple opportunities for unforgettable experiences.
Sports enthusiasts can easily find everything from bicycle rentals to climbing gyms and ice rinks to sporting clays. During the winter months, several ski centers are easily accessible as well. Prague also hosts football, cricket and hockey clubs as well as professional hockey during season. Whether a peaceful stroll in the park or a rigorous hike in the nearby Bohemian Forest is your idea of fun, Prague can certainly accommodate most people’s appetite for outdoor recreation.
As for night life, Prague stands out as one of the premier destinations in Europe. Cuisine of almost any origin as well as the local fare is never more than a short distance away—nor is the evening on the town following a superb meal. Ranging from intimate jazz clubs and quiet cafes to raging dance clubs and venues featuring fantastic live music of all genres, the selection of destinations for an evening on the town is limited only by time.
Considered by many to be a part of the national heritage, the beer brewed in the Czech Republic is some of the finest in the world. Widely available throughout the country, wonderful beers such as Pilsner Urquell, Gambrinas and Budvar (the true Budweiser, first brewed centuries ago) have all repeatedly been winning international awards for years. No trip to the Czech Republic could be complete without sampling these crafted beers. As the Czechs say, “Where beer is brewed, they have it good”.
Prague itself is well situated for visiting the rest of the Czech Republic as well as neighboring countries Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland. Reliable public transportation—railway and bus—as well as a centrally located international airport make such travel relatively easy.

" Very professionally run course, it exceeded my expectations. The teachers are passionate about their subject. The course is well structured and everyone in the school makes every effort to ensure that the trainees are able to get the most from their experience. Teaching skills input sessions were excellent, very logical and easy to follow. Without hesitation, I would recommend the course. Good value, first rate teaching and support. I've enjoyed the experience immensely and feel I have learned a great deal. "

Accommodation
There are a couple of options for accommodation during your TEFL course in Prague. Currently, the Prague centre has two permanent apartments for their students. One is 300 euros for 28 nights (which is the same price as the home stay). The other option is 440 euros – these apartments are closer to school and are considerably bigger.
The homestay option is the same price or cheaper than the shared apartment. It is not the typical home stay, but more like a ‘pension’, as they don’t include meals. The host families often don’t speak much English, so this would be a wonderful opportunity to practice your Czech! This is a relatively inexpensive option for students that want to cut costs and at the same time have a private room.
The accommodation is usually available from the Sunday before the first day of the course to the Saturday after the last day of the course. If you choose to arrive on a weekday other than Sunday, you will have to make hostel or hotel reservations for your first night(s) in Prague. The school would be happy to give you advice in this regard. Please be assured that any special requests or requirements regarding accommodation will be taken into account, and TEFL International will make every effort to honor such requests.
