TEFL Course Aims
Our 150-hour CTP TEFL course provides you with a comprehensive introduction to the world of Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Upon completion of the course you should have developed a good working knowledge of the English grammar system, plus a variety of useful skills and techniques that you will have been able to put into practice in the classroom.
TEFL Course Content
The 150-hour CTP TEFL course focuses on two different areas. Phase 1 looks at subjects related to the teaching skills that you will need in the classroom, including teaching theories and methodologies, classroom management, lesson planning and how to test and evaluate your students’ progress. It also covers language awareness, including the most important areas of English grammar, such as the parts of speech and the tense system, as well as other subjects such as pronunciation.
This variety of subjects has been further divided into twenty separate units that are specifically designed to gradually build your understanding, without overwhelming you with too much information. Thanks to this design, you should be able to work through the course materials at whatever pace you feel comfortable with.
Phase 2 is the teaching practice part of the course. You will need to arrange where and when you are going to complete your minimum six hours of teaching practice. After submission of your teaching practice documents to ITTT we will contact you within two working days with your overall result. Please note the course is pass/fail only and no grade will be issued.
Your certificate will show that you have completed a 150-hour TEFL/TESOL certification course which included at least six hours of supervised teaching practice.
