This chapter did not differentiate much from the general TEFL course. However, I felt that the delving into the various teacher roles was an interesting and insightful segment. While I agree that a teacher should be able to flexibly rotate between the various roles, I believe that one should be aware of where their initial tendencies will lay so that they can improve where needed. For instance I believe that while I might have advantages as a Counsellor or Instructor in my first year as a teacher I will need to improve as a Policeman and Mentor, especially as the businesspeople I would teach would probably be older than me.
