This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

As a native english speaker, I understand and can communicate in the language fluently. This does not mean however I know the components of the language and how to teach it. This course has given me that knowledge. TEFL allowed for me to understand the different aspects of english; how to break it down, and finally what all the little parts and concepts are all called as well as how it is organized. Without this course, I would have no idea all the different english concepts that would need to be taught, especially all the different grammatical tenses and ideas. On top of learning about the basics of how the english language is put together, this course also taught me about how to teach properly. Anything else I have taught in my life, be it swimming or lifesaving, followed a similar strategy but not to the same degree of complexity. TEFL taught me how to lesson plan properly, and pointed out all the little details of a lesson which now in hindsight seem like they should have been obvious but I would never have thought of. Classroom management would have most definitely been over my head. Thanks to the last twenty lessons, I now feel confident in organizing and running my own classroom, and being able to do so in a competent and professional manner. I am so excited that I now possess the knowledge and skills to not only teach in a more effectively, but also in a more interesting and entertaining way.
