This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

By using grammar in everyday speech I was not aware of the grammatical implications and why I was using it one way or another. By getting myself emerged in parts of the grammatical system I am now able to pass this knowledge on to students. I have learnt the importance of clear pronunciation, which can be a challenge to foreign learners and it would make them feel shy and embarrassed if they are not understood. I am now more familiar with the wide range of teaching tools available to teach all levels of english language students, to create lessons that are interesting and would help to ensure enthusiastic participation. I have also learned the importance of the different roles a teacher must engage in to make a typical lesson most effective. I found the online course material very valuable and as I start out as a new TEFL teacher I am confident that I am able to create a learning environment and lesson plans that would be suitable for my forthcoming english teaching career.
