This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

During this course, I feel I have learnt a lot about the english language, and how best to explain and teach the language to foreign learners ? i.e. the best ways to explain the difference between the tenses and the parts of speech. As well as learning the foundations of the english language I also now have a better understanding of how to approach a class, how important it is to establish rapport, how to deal with problems and how to structure a lesson. I found the lesson plan practice particularly helpful in showing me how classes are broken down into steps which make learning more efficient. From this course I will be well equipped to plan my own lessons, ensuring each lesson has all the vital elements necessary to be effective, as well as planning a course based on students? current abilities and needs. From the course I can see how important it is to be well prepared for a class, and to be vigilant with planning and preparation, which is something I plan to heed. This course has also inspired me to pass on my knowledge of the english language and to help those that need guiding to develop and improve their own lives.
