Learning proven methods and approaches of how to conduct a class for the purpose of teaching english to non-english speaking students I feel has given me the confidence that I would know how to start a new class and how to test their level of english language ability. I have a good idea of the direction the lessons should progress in. I have an understanding of what the different levels of ability are for learners of english and what level of skills are appropriate to each, and the sort of exercises and activities to use. I have learnt the essential grammatical structures that need to be taught and how to achieve that. The suggestions and techniques offered in regard to class management are a great help. Also, the resourcematerials and websites will no doubt prove to be invaluable information. I plan to download all the course material onto a USB to have on hand as a reference and resource to aid me if I find myself in a teaching role.
