This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

First, it was a really valuable grammar refresher. I think I?m pretty good at english grammar, but being a native speaker I usually know how to do something but sometimes I forget what things or called or why they are done a certain way. This is extremely important because often it is the teacher who needs to be able to provide explanations of why, not just how. Second, the biggest fear I have going into a classroom is being well-prepared and organized, with good solid lesson plans. I think this course has prepared me well in learning both what to expect on that first day, learning to understand the students and their level, and to plan accordingly to accommodate the students needs and interests. Third, because I have learned many languages in the past, this course helped me identify my previous teachers? methods and ways of language teaching. I have been able to figure out what works and doesn?t work (at least for me) and I think I have a good sense of what type of teacher I am.
