This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

I have gained an appreciation of how difficult it is to learn english given the anomalies in rules, pronunciation, levels of students, and differing circumstances of teaching. I have learned a basic lesson plan useful in a number of situations. As an experienced teacher many of the strategies are known and I have used these in the classroom, but it never hurts to be reminded. Dealing with adults there are often different circumstances and problems to consider such as other commitments; attitudes, difficulty with communication; and different pressures from those of younger learners. I will use a mixture of the strategies I have learned in this course and put this together with my own knowledge of teaching to formulate my plans and lessons. This course has helped to remind me of grammar I learned many years ago at school, and although I am able to use correct grammar when writing and speaking, I can not always explain what and why. It has made me think about the importance of presenting this in a manner that is clear and easily understandable for my students.
