This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:

The grammar part of this course is such a good revision for me. It helps me to know how to explain grammar structures and rules more methodically. In the classroom aspect, I have learned the importance of lesson plan, and how to get students involved and warmed up to the class through ESA lesson plan. This course has also helped me to see the classroom in a more comprehensive way, from the students? expectations and their problems to the teachers? solution and their roles. I have learned more different ways to get resources for lessons, and different ways to present a language. There are also several good reminders on how to manage a classroom with a class of students of so many different personalities. I may work as a part-time teacher at an english language center, or I may pick up personal tutor jobs to help students with their english individually. I would love to teach english to new immigrants. Since I am bilingual, I can understand better some of the language problems students may encounter due to language and cultural differences, so that I can help them to understand the language more effectively. Actually, I will use the techniques in classroom management I have learned in my actually classroom at my church?s Sunday school. Though it is not a school, I find the techniques are equally helpful.
