I have learned a lot more about the english language than I thought I was going to. Being a native english speaker and speaking and writing english every single day I thought there would not be a lot to learn, I was very wrong. I got a great review on some of the grammar lessons and learned even more with the lessons about past, present, and future tense?s which I do not remember learning about in depth anywhere else. I also found the unit about pronunciation and phonology very interesting and extremely beneficial. I have also learned a lot more about different activities that can be done with the students and which activities are suitable for different age groups or skill levels. I think that doing many lesson plans throughout the units was very beneficial because this will really help us be prepared when we are planning lessons for our own class. I plan to put forth the information that I have learned when I start teaching. I am hoping to find a job teaching english in hong kong at a school, learning center, or childcare. I plan to be very enthusiastic when I teach and try to make sure all activities very interesting for the students. One of my goals as a teacher is to motivate students and I will do this by learning about what the students like and incorporating their interests as much as possible into the lessons.
