I have gained a wealth of information. I didn't realize the depth of grammar components. Also, I assumed teaching adult would be less complicated. More importantly, how to spice up my lessons and how to create lessons plans without scripted guides. It is my plan to ensure that I begin every lesson with something interactive to get my students involved. Oftentimes, as a teacher I find myself rushed do to time constraints and jump into to the lesson to ensure all is covered. I have learned strategies that will motivate students and connect the lesson to the text. Also, I make sure I provide ample time for the activation stage. I learned that activation is very important. This give to student an opportunity to become comfortable using the language. Any student can repeat information and appear competent. The activation stage allows the teacher to observe if the students has an adequate command of the language.
