Unit 12 deals with teaching productive skills which are speaking and writing. Most students develop their speaking skills while giving writing less attention as it is considered the most difficult among the four skills. For the speaking part, the unit provides speaking activities in the classroom, tips on encouraging students to speak, techniques and so on. As for the writing part, the unit enumerated some factors to be considered when writing such as handwriting, spelling, layout and punctuation. The unit also gives some activity lessons for further understanding of the topics discussed. There are a lot of Equipment and Teaching Aids available to make a lesson effective. The main focus of this unit is to elicit some and give ideas on when and how to use them. In fact, we have The Board, Interactive whiteboards, Overhead Projector, Visual aids, Worksheets and work cards, the Cassette recorder, CD players, Videos and DVDs, Video camera, Dictionaries, Course books, Resource books, Photocopiers, Computers and Online sources. At this stage, we can remember that, we can't use all these equipments at once. So, we should choose those which fit well the lesson we want to dispense.
