TEFL Videos - English Grammar - Future Perfect - Usage - Teach English Abroad
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
Unit 6 covers the basic grammar of four past tenses; simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. The rules of these four tenses follow a similar pattern to those of the present tenses covered in unit 4. Past simple is used for an action that was completed in the past. Past continuous is used for an action that began before a given time in the past (and most like continued afterward). Past perfect is used for actions that occurred before other actions that also happened in the past. Past perfect continuous is used for actions that had been occuring up until a specific moment in the past.
