Then it went into needs analysis, the syllabus design and the 4 different types of syllabuses (structural, functional, learner-led and situational). By the end of the chapter they mentioned different assessment tests and their variety. There are 6 types of tests such as: diagnostic, placement, aptitude, achievement, proficiency and progress. The chapter ended with examinations and course evaluations descriptions.
