Conditionals and Reported Speech - Reported Speech Teaching Ideas

This video presents a teaching idea for reported speech. The activity includes having the students walk around the classroom asking other students for various bits of information. At the end of the activity, the students will report back the answers in reported speech.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

It is rather distracting and confusing when the list of basic modals has one, and only one, negative in it - needn't, and isn't highlighted in a nice little table, like the direct to reported verb tenses were. Oh, there's the nice chart on pages 2 and 3 which does not include needn't and includes others not listed on page 1. Please make that list on page 1 accurate and put a not that a full chart is on page 2. Active and passive voice section was good. I also feel there were too many concepts in this unit - should be broken up.
