How to Pronounce 'ELOQUENT' - English Pronunciation

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I don't quite understand why we are being taught "TEFL jargon", if at the end of the day we are barred from using such thins in the classroom, as the unit suggests. Would it not be more simple to teach the concepts without the labeling? Anyhow, I see the benefit of understanding the kinds of room arrangements, and how that would ensure oversight. The unit also showed that it is necessary to learn the names of all students, not as a formality, but to allow the teacher to call on everyone equally, while simultaneously building rapport.
