TEFL Videos - TEFL 120-hour Course - Unit 8
This video diary entry outlines Chantelle’s experience of studying unit 8 of her online TEFL course. Unit 8 is another tense unit, this time looking at the future tenses. These include the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous and the ‘going to’ future. It also covers how the present simple and present continuous can be used to talk about the future. In this unit you will learn how the tenses are formed and used and what some of the most common errors students make.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
These two lessons shows there is actually no failure student, but there are teachers who cant or dont do the job nicely. Teachers must be descriptive. The most obvious difference between first and second lesson is smile. And even only smiling can encourage students to participate lesson. Demonstrating with pictures and gestures is a really effective way to teach vocabulary. As a result even if you have a lesson plan but you cant smile or you really dont like to be a teacher, you wont be able to be a good teacher who can give a good definition and who can have a good rapport with students. This interesting, fun, and practical unit, which is divided into two main parts, focuses on various teaching strategies or topics. The first part analyzes various activities individually – music, games, stories, arts and crafts, and drama – and shows options to take advantage of them by including them in the learning process, and offers examples with the help of websites. The second part offers several examples of well-developed lesson plans into which some of the above named activities are incorporated. The plans are supplemented with concrete, ready to use teaching materials.
