TEFL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Alistair
In this TESOL review Alistair describes his experience as a TEFL/TESOL student with ITTT. He shares how the four week in-class course was a life changing experience for him and how deciding to do the course was one of the best decisions he ever made.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
Wow, this unit has a huge trove of resources that I'll be able to use going forward. While it made the pdf file quite long, I'll be able to use the resources for many different purposes for a long time to come. In my present situation, most of the types of equipment aren't used. I only have access to a chalk board and a projector (which can only be used with a computer, it's not an overhead projector). So this limits some of my lessons. I print out things, and draw pictures and such on the board. You make do with what you have, so I'll use what I can and hope for more equipment in the future. This final Unit explain what I must avoid to do according to the culture. It means avoiding political opinion, use proper greeting, learn about the country before to move in etc... The section including the CV/Resume is very useful as it is always confused what information to fill or not to fill. This Unit also provides some organizations such as JACET or RSA that can help me if I decide to move into one this country. The section to find an employment is very interesting as it gives advice to prepare yourself at an interview or what to ask at your employer to gather information about the job.
