I have found as an English speaker we take our language for granted as young ones. There is so much more to English than we could ever imagine. We speak English everyday and understand the function of the English language we use through growing up in the language, we don't pay so much attention to really studying hard in school and knowing and truely understanding and appreciating how complex our language can be. I have grown stronger in ensuring that when I teach I will put much emphasis on the function of the language and the grammar. I hope many new teachers will do the same.
