TEFL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Julia
Julia completed the 250-hour Diploma in TESOL and the 50-hour young learners course with ITTT. In this TESOL review video, Julia tells us how studying the courses online and without tutor allowed her the freedom to study at her own pace giving her the freedom to study and look after her two children at the same time.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
There are many Methodologies in teaching English but the methodology that I would prefer is the ESA method by Jeremy Harmer. ESA stands for engage, study, and activate. First you would engage the students and get them talking in English. Next, you would teach them the lesson and complete activities to make sure the students have a proper understanding. Finally you would move into the activate phase where the students would be put into a realistic scenario. Unfortunately engage, study, activate could become predictable. That is why you can also change it up with the boomerang and patchwork lessons.
