TEFL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Koichi
In this TEFL review Koichi from Japan describes his experience as a TEFL/TESOL student with ITTT. He took the combined course and completed the in-class component in Phuket.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
From the Modals, Phrasal Verbs and Passive Voice Unit I have learnt important information about the modal auxiliary verbs; its basic rules, usage, examples for its usage in the present and the past, and some teaching ideas. I have also learnt information about the passive voice; its different forms according to the tenses, its usage, the common mistakes that the learners make, and some teaching ideas as an example to clarify and emphasise the topic. I have also learnt about the relative clauses and its types, the phrasal verbs as intransitive, transitive separable, and transitive inseparable.A sentence must consist atleast a subject and a verb. A noun can be names of people, animals, places, things. Adjectives are to describe nouns such as people or things. There are two types of articles - the definite and the indefinite. Verbs is used with a subject to form a basic sentence.Gerunds is -ing form of a verb used as a noun. Pronouns are words used instead in place of more precise nouns or nouns phrases. I feel that is important to distinguish the grammer and the rules that are applied to it. It refreshed my memory as to what I have learnt in school such as Prepositions, Adverbs etc.
