TEFL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Paul
In this ITTT TEFL review video Paul describes his experience during his TEFL/TESOL course in Sydney. He talks about the people he met and the students he taught during the course. ITTT's TEFL/TESOL certification courses last for four weeks and are held in a variety of exciting sites like Sydney. No matter which training center you select, our courses will focus on training you to teach English with the international standard communicative approach, where English is the only language used in the classroom. This means you do not need to be able to speak the local language.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
This unit was about pronunciation, I learned about phonology. Phonology studies the physical properties of sounds. To teach the correct pronunciation of a word we need to pay attention to the individual sounds, the intonation, and the stress within words. If students do not understand the importance of intonation they could give the wrong message, also if they familiarize with the most common patterns of intonation that could make their understanding easier. The importance of the stress word is that it bears the principal emphasis in the sentence, so it is important to get the message right.Quite a good wrap up unit - The Business English World. I learned/relearned to think about Business Etiquette, expected questions at the interview, finding employment (key for me, thank you!), excellent questions to ask by me(the interviewee) at the interview, building an effective resume, additional examinations, and professional organizations (which I believe are important and necessary). All-in-all, this was a good course. I have taught younger students for most of my life, and I would like a change) and I believe this course has given me an insight into my possible future. Thank you.
