TEFL Videos - TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Paul
Paul from Australia is currently living in Manila in the Philippines. Paul took the 120-hour online TESOL course without tutor from ITTT. In this TESOL review video, Paul tells us that he found the course to be challenging and rewarding and had a great time completing but feels it would have been better to take the course with tutor support. Since completing the course Paul has been able to observe ESL lessons at the local international school and is looking forward to starting his new career as a TESOL teacher.
This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
I’d certainly say I am becoming bored of repeating myself in relation to the lack of information, especially on the seating arrangement questions, its far too vague and I also found that some of the questions are repeats from other units such as the CTBE, regarding the roles of the teacher. There are just so many seating arrangements available, why can’t they be included in this unit? I really wish you guys could offer more information in your units, after all, students are paying to learn, therefore you should provide more information, just really feel the units are just so vague. This unit addressed various methods and approaches to teaching a new language to students. It covered various activities that can be used to reenforce learning, offered tips for when to teach certain topics, suggested different criteria to consider when choosing vocabulary or grammar to teach in the classroom. Honestly, I think this may have been one of the more helpful units thus far. Simply put, this unit clearly offered a real life vision for how to teach practical topics in the classroom. Also, it explained, through practical tips, how to teach complex things such as vocabulary and grammar.
