This unit helped to give me an appreciation for the teaching methods and styles that I have personally experienced in my own life and provided a helpful rationale for a number of them. I know from my own past experiences as a student the value of body language, posturing, and purposeful class organization and it was helpful to see the teacher's perspective illustrated in this unit. Being mindful of all of these areas and consciously adopting the techniques most appropriate to the situation can certainly be the difference between an being a middling instructor and an excellent one.
