Wieslaw form Poland took the 120-hour online TESOL course with tutor support and videos. In his TESOL review video, Wieslaw tells us he is currently teaching kindergarten students in Nanjing, China. This unit details the various pieces of classroom equipment and aids that teachers will likely encounter, ranging from the outdated cassette player to the recently developed Interactive White Board. It explains the equipment/aids' function and various uses. The unit also looks at the advantages and disadvantages of each piece. Lastly, it gives vast lists of online resources for teachers to access as needed. I have learned how to best navigate the world of classroom equipment use. I also have a better understanding of what equipment to use to accomplish different types of learning goals.In this unit, it gave an explanation of the roles of a teacher, including facilitator, instructor, policeman, psychologist, counsellor, and role-model. The different types of learners including individuals and groups. The unit continued on to the advantages and disadvantages of teaching adults and how they may have more motivation than young learners but they also have more commitments. The unit went over the four skills of speaking, reading, writing and listening and it detailed the different teaching methods including The Silent Way, Audio Lingualism, PPP, Task based Learning and ESA.
