I really enjoyed watching and observing these two lessons because it really put everything that we have been studying so far into context. The attitude of the teacher and the way that he/she engages with and approaches the students definitely has a huge impact on the success of the class. If a teacher is rude, impersonal, and unable to connect with their students, then the students will ultimately feel uncomfortable and will not progress in the lesson. The teacher must make sure that the students are following along and truly understanding the basis of the lesson. The engage phase is so important because it sets the tone for the rest of the lesson.
