Today's unit was about teaching the productive skills of speaking and writing. For speaking, it discussed fluency versus accuracy and how to incorporate both into classes. For writing, it discussed the different elements of writing: handwriting, spelling, layout, punctuation, and creative writing. I think teaching writing is what I struggle with the most, and this class helped me to break down what I need to look for in writing and gave me great ideas for how to incorporate it more into my classes!
