This unit explains how one should approach writing and speaking instruction in the TESOL/TEFL classroom. I found the activities that illuminate how to focus on accuracy and fluency important. I had never thought about integrating creative writing assignments in my classroom in order to help with fluency. I am firm believer in communicative activities that promote fluency. However, I now know how to better pair my communicative activities with the activate phase of a lesson. I will definitely use more mill drill and perhaps even class debates for this phase.
