This lesson covered teaching speaking and writing. This lesson highlighted the fact that writing is often neglected in TEFL, often being relegated to homework, as writing activities are often seen as 'quiet time' and students would usually prefer to develop speaking skills. Along with this, the lesson covers the differences between fluency and accuracy activities. Fluency is more focused on letting students be creative and using the language with less concern for mistakes, while accuracy emphasizes on producing correct language. Accuracy activities tend to be more teacher controlled, to ensure accurate usage of the language.
