Pronunciation and phonology became the hardest chapter for me. It was intense and I clearly felt my lack of knowledge. It is incredible though to see how much there is behind a simple word as foot and how important it is to get yourself an your students to phonics. when they it is well explained it is possible to improve the speaking and listening. I also appreciate the effort of the authors emphasizing that even though its an important topic, teachers should be aware of students limits and goals, and always keep them in mind.
