This unit covered a lot of material. I was surprised that phonology was included to the point were it was necessary to know the IPA alphabet and complete transcriptions. I am currently in a phonetics course and found my knowledge from that course to carry over for this unit and be helpful. Because I have a background in Communication Sciences and Disorders, I found this unit to be quite informative and I am positive it will come in handy in the future.
