Lessons planning is very important as it is a written record of the activity. It is useful when assessing students' level, for personal development, as well as in emergency cases (when the teacher gets ill and someone else has to cover). Lesson planning has to be simple, it should include the date and time, number of students, teacher's name, English level, main objective for the lesson and lesson layout. The teacher should also anticipate any problems and prepare in advance.
