Throughout his course I have been able to use what I have learned in the classroom. This has been most beneficial to me and hopefully to my students. I have learned to slow down my lessons and give clearer directions. By sticking to some form of the ESA pattern I have learned to really appreciate this approach which is one I have used without specifically calling it that. I have learned to plan and pace the class so that they end with an activate phase. If I over plan and end up on a study phase the students are tired and it usually has to be repeated in the next class. This course therefore has enabled me to become more aware of the classroom dynamics and to understand why some things work and others fail. Then I can evaluate what I need to do differently.
