In this section we focus on the two receptive parts of English and how to teach them. Listening and Reading are receptive because they come to you rather than come out of you. We learn that all parts of English are equally important. We learn what kind of materials are most effective for different types of students, for example beginner students should not read material that is written to a native audience, unless it is something very simple, like Dick and Jane books.
