I?ve been teaching EFL for some time now and I?ve been lucky to have a supervisor that has guided me through the methodologies used to teach effectively. That being said, I couldn?t be happier with my decision of taking the TEFL training since now I have a greater knowledge on methods, techniques and approaches needed to be a better teacher. This course has given me a more solid base on grammar structures, which are difficult for a native speaker to teach because of the natural environment in which we learn the language. Also, this course has helped me acknowledge some of the mistakes I make and has given me the tools to correct them. Another important thing that I gained from this course is the information on how to evaluate a student?s level in order to place them in the right group and to help me organize the course. The information on ESP was definitely helpful and I?m now looking forward to completing the business english course. This summer I?m teaching a group of pre-school teachers and the Needs Analysis will be a great tool to help me organize the class effectively.
