Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit was about productive skills and using games in an educational context. I think it is imperative to allow for fluency speaking activities as this will boost the confidence of out students. However, there definitely needs to be a certain level of accuracy activities included in order to ensure that our students are learning the correct language structure. As well, implementing relative games will ensure learning of the language in a fun and care free setting. It is just important to ensure that these games are relative to the learning material.
