The teaching of receptive skills such as reading and listening was a very interesting lesson for me. I didn't really have a firm grasp on the difference of the two, and the incredible importance of them both. Not emphasizing on over the other was very good to know. so often teachers in my experience will be ok with students lacking in areas, so long as the ones they consider important are accomplished. The Engage, study, and activate portion were very informative, and I will be looking to put this into practice.
