In this course I learned the level to which a teacher's attitude (and the use of body language, such as smiling) can have a profound effect on the success of a lesson. This lesson also reinforced the importance of making sure that students understand instructions and creating and following structure within a lesson. These videos were particularly helpful for me because I am, by and large, a visual learner. I enjoyed the activity where students were asked to find different names of other students in the class about things that they can, can't, have to, or don't have to do at or in particular places. It seemed effective at getting students to actively use the language. I can see myself using this or a similar activity while teaching.
