In this unit, I enjoyed watching the videos of the two lessons. The first lesson was painful to watch. The instructor seemed to panic when students did not know the word "necessary" and forcefully persisted with the lesson instead of reading the needs of his students. This upset the entire lesson. He lost the momentum that the second video clearly depicted was possible. The importance of the beginning of the lesson is paramount. From the moment he walked into the room, the instructor had the attention of his class. I particularly liked the use of individual introductions to encourage students to talk to each other.
