This unit helped me to appreciate how challenging speaking and writing can be in learning a new language. Both require more accuracy and/or fluency in the new language than the two receptive skills, so I understand why some students might be reluctant to participate in these lessons. This unit provides lots of good tips and techniques, and I particularly like the idea of adapting familiar games for use in the classroom to encourage students to interact and learn.
