Productive and receptive skills are equally important if we want to communicate. In my opinion to teach productive skills can be more challenging if I have shy students especially during speaking activities. I have never thought that it can caused by different reasons (for example lack of interest in the topic). I always had the idea there are mainly introvert and extrovert students. I can encourage students to speak but I can not change their personality. This lesson gave me a lot of things to think about.
