This unit is about teaching productive skills- speaking and writing, who are equally important. People communicate for different reasons. Accuracy and Fluency are equally important. During Study phase, teachers can use controlled and guided activities to ensure the accuracy, check students' understanding, and encourage fluency during Activate phase through creative communication/activities. Teachers use various strategies to encourage student engagement and interaction throughout the whole lesson- before, during and after the activity.
