In this unit, we talked about the two productive skills involved in language learning- speaking and writing. Firstly, I learnt about the two categories of activities of communicative aspect of language learning, fluency and accuracy as well as the different examples of activities involved. I also learnt about the reasons that students might have for not involving in the speaking aspect as well as techniques for encouraging such students to be involved. Then, we talked about the 4 different aspects of writing skills in language learning. Lastly, we looked at how games are important in learning and how to best utilise different games in teaching.
