In this unit, I learned about speaking and writing, which are productive skills students will use when learning English. I learned about how to set up activities to keep students engaged and excited to try speaking and writing in English for themselves. I learned about the importance of games, which can work to help students communicate in English in a way that is fun and entertaining. I learned how to encourage students to experiment creatively with English through writing stories, talking about events, and getting involved in group activities with other classmates. Overall, I believe I have learned the importance of speaking and writing as a teacher, and how to use the ESA model to keep students intrigued and ready to absorb lots of English skills.
