We can agree that learning without motivation is like spice less food. Humans need motivation to be part of the society and to interact efficiently and it is the power of the best achievers. Introduction Motivation is one of the main aspects in modern education techniques since it is the main drive in everything we do in this life. Since the world is a diversified place motivations are also different from place to place and from society to another, we will identify the definition of motivation, different types of motivation and the expected results of motivation. Statement of the problem: Motivating kids nowadays is one of the most challenging tasks due to different factors such as kid’s addiction to social media, video gaming and less fiscal interaction with the society in general. Statement of purpose: Knowing the reasons which makes students less or more motivated and the possible implementations What motivation is? Motivation can have many definitions depending from situation to another. Therefore; it is very difficult to define motivation. According to Wikipedia (1) the” Motivation is the experience of desire or aversion (You want something, or want to avoid or escape something). As such, motivation has both an objective aspect (a goal or thing you aspire to) – and an internal or subjective aspect (it is you that wants the thing or wants it to go away)”. Whether it is a simple or complicated function; motivation is behind the achievement. Even simple acts such as eating will have the motivation of hunger, or driving the care will have the moving desire from place to another. Any action in life will have a motivation even crimes mostly have a motive. Types of motivation There are many types of motivation such as Primary, Secondary, Extrinsic, Intrinsic and Incentive motivation. We will concentrate on Incentive motivation due to the relevance and importance type of motivation in the classroom. Definition Different reasons and motivations are behind what we do, and different explanations to motivations behind our actions. It’s easy to think of many situations in which a particular goal, such as a promotion at work, can serve as an external incentive that helps activate particular behaviors.” (Hockenbury & Hockenbury, 2003) Incentive can tangible or intangible reward, intangible like human rights and receiving admire from the teacher, and tangible incentive like fiscal rewards. I think learning situation will not successful without rewards just like any action in life. In classroom satisfaction and pleasure of discovering new things could be the biggest reward. CONCLUSION To summarize, motivation has the biggest role in learning process. Appropriate motivation tool can lead to achieve goals whether it is difficult or not. Moreover, motivation can speed up the learning time and process. Different techniques can be used to help students discovering their abilities and skills, as an example, making mistake should lead to punishment because the punishment may have a negative attitude like student being passive rather than active. Fun and interesting activities shall be used which will help students to be more motivated and regular attendant. Sociological motivation like smiling will give students more comfort and happy to attend the class emotionally which will lead to more active and interest in the class.
