This study unit has broadened my understanding of future tense, it also has taught me how to link the similarities and differences between the different tense. I understand how the present tense can be used to express a future event or situation, for example; “I’m leaving you.”. Even though this is a present continuous form without a time frame, at the point in time when this is being said the person would still be with the person he/she intends to leave, which is the present, but his decision going forward, which is in the future, is to leave. I feel that these units have taught me the fundamentals of how we use tense.
