As a teacher , lesson planning for me is like going to an interview which you know you are confident that you can answer all the questions being asked. So yes, it is very important to have a lesson plan at hand for this will serves as your backbone in teaching career. I learned in this unit that Lesson planning or preparing lesson plans has three important functions such as an aid to planning, a working document, and a record. When writing a lesson plan these basic principles should as follows. One, writing lesson plan should be simple. Two, not trying to script the lesson Three, maintain its structure. Four, be conscious about the margins. Five, make sure activities fit together and give the lesson a smooth flow. Six, keep it flexible and open to adaption. Also, as a teacher i learned that we want to structure our lesson plans so we need to set guidelines to achieve an effective and smooth flow of our lesson such as Learner objectives, Personal aims, Language point, Teaching aids, Anticipation problems, Procedure, Phase, Ting, Interaction, Class level, Number of students, Date or time, Teacher's and observer's name.
