This lesson highlighted the importance of planning and organizing a lesson, especially as a new teacher. Though experienced teacher may be able to still be effective with minimal planning, as new teachers, we have to put more effort into planning our lessons as records and playbooks to look back to during lessons to make sure we are still on schedule. A lesson plan can also be helpful in keeping ourselves organized, both during the lesson and before and after, as we can use it almost as a checklist before class to make sure we have all our materials for the day. It is useful after the lesson as well as it can be used for reviewing previous lessons, as well as evaluating yourself as a teacher, and the effectiveness of particular exercises within a lesson.
