Lesson planning is important insofar as it guides the teacher, but never restricts them. This unit shows how to construct a lesson plan that attends to students' objectives and the teacher's personal improvement goals. At the same time, the unit stresses the importance of building flexibility into the structure of any specific lesson plan, and the structure of a sequence of plans over multiple classes; one should use the plan rather than read from it like a script. Various materials are provided in the second half of the unit to inspire lesson planning.
